It spans across the districts of Begusarai, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran and Gopalganj in Bihar and Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Faizabad, Barabanki and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and touches some major cities and towns on the way.
